Prosecution have raised charges of tax evasion against the executive director of the Bulgarian cigarette maker Bulgartabac, Hristo Lachev. Lachev did not declare incomes amounting to about BGN 1 M and evaded BGN 128,000 of taxes, prosecutors said, adding that the charges are related to undeclared real estate assets. In the beginning of March, two lawsuits were filled against the management of the tobacco monopoly but Lachev did not get charged personally and was not dismissed from his position.
